ASHLEY carter

Ashley Carter (she/her) is a Civil Rights Fellow at Medina Orthwein, LLP. Ashley is interested in all facets of civil rights law and she has experience working on a variety of matters in civil litigation. As a fellow her work focuses on prisoners’ rights and employment discrimination.

Prior to joining Medina Orthwein, Ms. Carter worked in the Civil Litigation Division of the Office of the Attorney General for the District of Columbia. In the Civil Litigation Division, she worked on disputes involving negligence, wrongful death, and employment discrimination.  

She received her B.A. in Criminal Justice from the University of Maryland, College Park and her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center. During law school she completed over 200 hours of Pro Bono Service through her work with the Washington Lawyers Committee Workers Rights Clinic and D.C. Public Defender Service.

Ms. Carter is admitted to practice law in California and the District of Columbia.
